3 spd p/s column...

Postby MK11 » Mon Mar 23, 2009 3:24 pm

Have any of you guys come across such an item? I pulled one out of a '78 on the weekend, appears to be original. I'll be doing some measuring and comparing with other columns I have lying around. Never seen one before.

Is this a "three on the tree" manual shift column? If so, I can't say I've stumbled across a p/s one before...but I haven't really been looking too hard, either. :icon-biggrin:

Yessir, she be a three in the tree. I wasn't exactly looking either but as dents were pretty thin on the ground at this wrecker, I was looking closer than usual. I'll be using it in my '68 if it's legit.

National Parts Depot has everything you need. i use them for all the parts i have to get. all the parts i have bought have bolted right on with no issues or modification needed. most other places sell "universal fit parts"

just remember that universal fits everything but doesnt fit anything right

There definitely was such a thing. I had a 79 F150 Explorer with power steering and a three on the tree.
