getting that front end up

Postby bigjake34452 » Fri Feb 29, 2008 6:33 pm

hey guys, i havent posted here in while. i just wanted to ask if anybody knew a way to get the front end up on a 2wd!? i cannot stand the rake stance anymore. i have a 1976 F-250. it has 33's all the way around but with no lift, it looks goofy, especially with the front end sagging............ anybody have any ideas? thanks, jake.

A few owners have used larger/longer shackles to lift the front, and another option would be to add a leaf.

I don't know of any sources.

Opps, I thought it was springs since it was a F250, though thats the 4wd version.

How much lift are you talking. If it just a little then you can pick up some coil spring adjusters or spring stablizer, if desire more then replace the springs.

Try JCWhitney for the parts.

You could use those, however the camber will end up out of whack...you'll be riding on the outer edges of your tires.
(sorry, couldn't find a Ford truck pic)

You can have a shop heat & bend your I-beams to get your camber back straight again, similar to this pic...

I am also trying to get the front end up on my 1979 ford f-100 it has a 300 strait 6 in it. I am only trying to raise it about two inches in the front. I know they have coil spring spacers but I was wondering if there was a set of springs that would make up the difference maybe one for a v8. if anyone knows the best way to go I would appreciate the advice. Thanks
